To be a fiduciary — as with an attorney or physician — requires a relationship based on integrity, trust, confidentiality and transparency. For 26 years, we have accepted the elevated expectations of a fiduciary relationship with our clients. Recently, this has become a popular choice by marketers of planning and investment services but at the inception of Summit, this was a purposeful, client-focused decision.
At our formation we established two guiding principles. First, each client deserves to work directly with their experienced, responsive wealth manager. Second, that the guidance they received would empower them to be an active partner in the decision-making process.
The Golden Rule is to treat others as we would like to be treated. It is a simple notion that resonates throughout the ages regarding the ethical treatment of others.
